Officials are hopefully the Albuquerque Taco & Margarita Festival will be a success due to the many vendors who have made inquiries about participating in the festival already.
Venders regularly obtain double benefit from working events such as this. In addition to their sales, they also have an opportunity to pass out Business Cards, and Menus to drum up more business.
Civic Plaza is overseen by the same group charged with running the convention center. Albuquerque Convention Center general manager Jose Garcia believes that they will have a full slate of vendors, music, and margaritas, despite KRQE.com reporting of some logistical problems with the event in Des Moines and Pittsburgh.
Garcia elaborated, saying:
“Right now, we have a contract with Tacos and Margs. We did receive the inquiry and references and so we contacted our partners in Tucson and they said they had a great experience with them and we should feel free to move forward with that.”
According to Garcia, lining up permits for the event is ongoing with the city. The website of the Arizona-based company running the festival lists regular tickets at $10. Those who spend $40 for a VIP ticket will have two tacos, a T-shirt, and two margaritas included in their ticket price.
The festival is scheduled for October 2.
