For those drawn to the delicate orchid, a show starting today will feature hundreds of eye-catching orchids, all blooming under one roof.
This show features a number of workshops and a people’s choice vote. The promoters may have used a combination of poster and flying printing services to publicize the event.
The Orchid Show and Sale provides guests with the opportunity to see hundreds of unique and blooming orchids, which can be purchased and taken home. There will be workshops available for children, teaching how to plant orchids and make a miniature greenhouse. For adults, there will be a demonstration on repotting, an opening evening talk, a demonstration on orchids by Carol Siegel, and an evening dinner.
All guests will be able to cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award. This year’s show is co-sponsored by the New Mexico Orchid Guild and lasts the entire weekend.
Tickets to the opening night reception this evening cost $40 and reservations are required. Admission to the show itself free and everyone is invited.
