FBI Teen Academy seeks recruits

Students going to high school in Albuquerque have been given the opportunity to spend a day learning how the FBI operates by applying for the Teen Academy.

The Teen Academy is open to students from 10th to 12th grades. The program will be led by FBI special agents accompanied by support personnel, who will provide an engaging presentation. The topics expected to be discussed include terrorism, public corruption, cyber security, and proper evidence-handling procedures. The agency's Logo Design will no doubt feature on application Forms.

Newsbreak.com spoke to a couple of young people who attended the FBI Teen Academy in 2019. One of them, named Gaby, said:

“The Teen Academy is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see if you could be the special agent of your dreams. It has not only introduced me to peers that share the same passion and drive to make a difference, but it has also introduced me into a world that is much more than a government agency.”

Another, named Jake, described the program as:

“…a riveting experience that shouldn't be passed by.”

The Teen Academy is scheduled for Tuesday, July 26, but the deadline for applications is next Thursday, July 7. Students who are accepted for a place in the Teen Academy are expected to arrive at 7:30 am on the day and participate in all the activities. The program will end at 5:30 pm.
