Albuquerque gets set for comic weekend

From Friday, June 8 until Sunday, June 10, the Albuquerque Comic Expo will take place at the Albuquerque Convention Center located at 401 2nd Street, N.W. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Running times are different on each day and can be found on the event’s website.

ACE, also known as the Albuquerque Comic Expo, is an entertainment, pop culture, and comic book exposition with a huge 106,000-square foot floor space, featuring a gaming area, Artist Alley, numerous vendors, many exhibitors, and much more. A special guest at this year’s ACE event will be Director and Artist Matt Haley, who was called in as the creativity consultant on “Who wants to be a Superhero?” Matt was also the creative art director of “A Fan’s Hope: Comic-Con Episode IV,” which will be screening during this event. He will also be providing comment cards, possibly provided by local Print companies, for people to provide feedback.

Along with Matt, Stan Lee will be returning, Sci-Fi Speed Dating is a new addition this year, and appearances will be made by Herb Trimpe, Joe Benitez, Nei Ruffino, and Len Wein. There will also be an ACE! Kids Day on Sunday with all activities in this area geared towards children. Stationery printing and flyer printing have probably been used to promote this fun event.

A three-day pass to this expo will cost $35 per adult and $20 for kids aged six to twelve. The ACE! Kids Day pass will be $7 per child. For additional information on this event, please visit the Albuquerque Comic Expo website, or call 505-465-9668.
