Albuquerque Convention Center to host holiday festivities

The 12th annual Festival of Trees will return this year to the Albuquerque Convention Center for a two-day celebration.

Adults and children of all ages will be welcomed to this family-friendly event. A miniature train, photos with Santa, and art crafts for children will be included in the weekend entertainment.

An Evening of Enchantment will begin the Festival of Trees on December 6 at 6:00 pm. This non-traditional gala will include a silent auction as well as live entertainment performances. Tickets cost $100 per person.

The festival continues on December 7 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Tickets are free for visitors and each person will be asked for an optional $1 donation at the entrance.

More than 250 wreaths and 100 individually decorated trees will light up the Albuquerque Convention Center. Hot cocoa and coffee will be offered as refreshments to add to the holiday spirit. Christmas wreaths, centerpieces and trees will also be sold for visitors to bring home. Brochure printing is often used by hosts to provide people with details about such events.

Polar Express Night will take place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm during which the classic Christmas movie will be available for viewing. Tickets cost $50 for a family of four.

The festivities conclude on December 8 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. All of the weekend's proceedings will go to the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation to help physically disabled children.
