Somerville to recruit volunteers for upcoming race

The Somerset County Bar Foundation will be looking for Somerville volunteers in May to help with the 16th Annual Legal Runaround 5K.

The Legal Runaround 2022 Volunteer Signup is a gathering where members of the community can help with an upcoming race that benefits the Friends of the Somerset County Animal Shelter. People can volunteer in event locations such as water stations, a refreshment tent, finish line, and registration booth. The organizers will try to honor the volunteers’ position requests, though participants may be moved to areas with urgent needs during the race.

The Somerset County Bar Foundation was created in 1969 to strengthen the relationship between the justice system and citizens. The organization has contributed to many nonprofit groups, including Somerset Treatment Services, Legal Services of Northwest Jersey, and Literacy Volunteers of America. The foundation holds events like the Vincent J. Apruzzese Annual Mock Trial Competition and Law Day. The group also gives scholarships to students who attend local law schools.

Those interested in becoming a volunteer for the upcoming Legal Runaround 5K can meet at the Veteran's Memorial Plaza on Thursday, May 26 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Guests may register for the signup session in advance. People who put together gatherings such as this can use printing services to make Posters and Banners that advertise the event to locals.
