A February event is giving Somerville residents a unique look at culinary businesses that call their city home.
2026 Galentine’s Day Chocolate Walk is an experience from the Downtown Somerville Alliance. The event focuses on the tasty offerings from establishments around the downtown area of the city. To make the event more festive for the Valentine’s Day season, everything showcased will include or be inspired by chocolate.
Participating businesses include the likes of Village Brewing, Dafina’s Restaurant, Boulevard Seafood, Mannion’s Pub, Café Picasso, Discover Chocolates, Playa Bowls, Epic Cookies, Turf, Surf, and Earth, Somerville Provisions & House of Jerky, Verve, and Verity Chocolates. Attendees will receive a map marking each of the participants. The event is a way for locals to explore the city and socialize with friends. It also gives businesses a chance to reach customers that may not have tried them out otherwise.
In addition to the map, everyone will be provided a wristband when they check in at Village Brewing. IDs are required, as some businesses will offer beverages containing alcohol. People under 21 are still welcome to try the other tastings offered.
Tickets are sold through EventBrite. Each will cost $10. Many locally run events use flyer printing as a promotion technique. The Somerville experience will take place between 6:00pm and 8:00pm on February 12th.
