Somerville residents who are seeking a spark of romance will want to mark their Calendars for next month, as a local cafe has announced its plans to host a speed dating event.
The Bliss Coffee Lounge’s Modern Speed Dating gathering will bring single men and women between 40 and 49 years old together in an engaging and energetic social setting. Organizers hope to pair modern matchmaking with old-school dating to bring compatible singles together.
The format will allow singles to enjoy real conversations with real people, getting around games and endless texting. It will be held at a coffee shop to ensure an environment where conversation is easy and overstimulation is limited, leading to a lower-pressure experience.
