People can take part in two holiday activities in December that are held by the Somerville Downtown Alliance and Somerville Fire Department.
The 2023 Holiday Jubilee is a festive event organized by the Somerville Downtown Alliance with many family-friendly activities. Guests can go ice skating at the venue and enjoy live DJ entertainment. Attendees will also receive free cocoa, cookies, and carriage rides. Families can interact with strolling characters from Frozen, and Santa will visit the event. People may go to Division Street to listen to live performances. Free parking is available in the city's municipal lots.
The other activity is the Holiday Light Parade held by the Somerville Fire Department. The festive parade will begin at Veterans Memorial Drive and end at the community firehouse. Santa will be featured in the event. There will be children's organizations and local businesses participating in the parade. People will also see privately owned equipment used at the event. The 2023 Holiday Jubilee will be on Friday, December 1st from 5:30pm to 10:00pm, and the fire department's light parade will take place on Saturday, December 2nd from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. There is no cost to attend either of the activities. Cities in charge of holiday events such as these can use printing services to make ads they can distribute throughout their communities.
