Somerville presentation to introduce tarot

The library in Somerville will hold an event in early February where guests can learn about tarot cards.

Introduction to Tarot is a presentation that goes over the imagery used on each tarot card and explains how practicing tarot can help people gain clarity. Attendees will participate in an activity with the tarot cards where they will be led through a card selection and interpretation. Guests are not required to have any experience with tarot cards before the presentation, nor do they need to bring any cards with them. The lecture is meant for adult library patrons.

The speaker at this event is Alyssa Short, the founder of Unconditional Tarot. She has been studying tarot since 2017 and uses the practice for personal reflection. Short studied tarot alongside Lindsay Mack, a fellow instructor who founded the company Tarot for the Wild Soul. People can book a private reading with Short over a video chat for $88, which includes 50 minutes of interactions. She can also perform readings via email and in person.

The presentation on Tarot will be held next Thursday, February 1, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There is no cost to attend Short’s lecture and activity. Libraries that host presentations like this can make sure their patrons are aware of the programs by using printing services to make ads.
