The Artsy branch in Somerville will offer two classes in April where people can work with clay.
Those interested in ceramics can attend a course offered by the instructors at the Artsy pottery studio. The two classes are part of the company’s Friday Workshop series. The first lesson will help students create a clay coil bowl and introduce them to coil pottery techniques. The second course is the Clay Pipes Blaze and Glaze, which will walk attendees through making their own functional art. Both lessons are open to experienced ceramic artists and beginners.
Artsy is a company that offers art lessons and group painting events to people of all ages and skill levels. The business has branches in Boonton and Somerville. The studios hold annual art summer camps for children where they can create canvas paintings, slime, mosaics, and ceramic pieces. The company also offers teen lessons for youths with advanced art experience. People can purchase flavored teas and boba drinks at Yum, an on-site snack shop at the studios.
The clay coil bowl lesson will be held on Friday, April 19th, and the clay pipes course is on Friday, April 26th. Both courses will last from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Admission to the clay coil bowl class will cost $44.97, and tickets to the second class can be bought for $45. Art studios that organize similar ceramics programs can use poster printing to share their art lessons with more consumers.
