The Gallery on Main in Somerville will hold an opening reception in November for the organization’s Artist of the Month.
Gallery on Main will be honoring Nancy J. Ori as its Artist of the Month for November with an in-person reception. During the event, guests can view Ori’s photography exhibition and meet with her in person. Attendees may also purchase Ori’s work at the reception.
Nancy J. Ori is an experienced photographer and mixed media artist whose work has been featured in museums around the world, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She is also the owner of New Jersey Media Center, LLC and the creator of The New Jersey Heritage Workshops. Ori attended school at Elmira College and Pratt Institute and worked at Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals as the organization’s in-house corporate photographer.
Gallery on Main is an artistic venue founded by Michelle Kassick and Shaun Daley that doubles as an antique store. The gallery also sells custom frames and hosts several events where people can meet local artists.
The opening reception for Ori’s exhibition will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Admission to the reception is free, and the public will be allowed to enter the venue.
