Somerville event to celebrate music queens
A mid-July show in Somerville is putting the spotlight on a number of powerful ladies in the music industry.
Women Who Rock Hard!!!! is a concert featuring a lineup of four bands from both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The groups all feature female lead singers, with many having several ladies amongst their members. The event aims to celebrate and give a platform to artists who are looking to perform in a space that fits their vibe.
While most of the acts have played at The Rock Shack before, one will be making its debut at this event. This band is Saint Germaine. The returning groups are Leadpetal, Rat Sauce, and the concert headliner Ultraviolet. Videos and pictures are permitted as long as the artists don’t say otherwise. When sharing content from the show, it is asked that the venue and performers are tagged in any online posts.
Parking is not available at the venue. There are a few municipal lots and some street spaces nearby. Parking at the lots can be booked through Park Smarter. Street spots will have a $1 cost until 7:00pm.
