Somerville chases rainbows with yearly run

The 4th Annual Rainbow Run in Somerville is still planning to go ahead at the time of writing, and will take place in a few weeks. The Raritan Valley Habitat Youth hosts this event each year.

Highlighting the race is the process of each runner running through rainbow-colored powder. Starting with a white t-shirt as part of the registration process, runners have the opportunity to end up with a unique multi-colored memento of their experience, thanks to the safe and biodegradable powder.

Proceeds from the Rainbow Run benefit the Somerset and Hunterdon counties in providing shelter for those in need. The donations build self-reliance and strength while creating stability. By donating on the registration page, top donors are awarded for their contributions and efforts.

For events of this type, ordering brochure printing from local Print shops will deliver marketing collateral to promote a race event ahead of time. Advance marketing increases interest and participation.

The event is relaxed and not meant to be competitive, so guests can choose whether they want to run or walk.

Registration will begin at 8:00 am on the day of the race. Park at 220 Baird Road to Central Middle School. The entrance to the event park is will be to the left of the parking lot.

The race will take place at White Oak Park on April 19. The race fee is $30 plus a $2.50 sign-up fee.
