Residents in and around Somerville can take part in some sweet activities at the end of this month.
Duke Farms is hosting a Sugar Maple Celebration. Guests can tap a maple tree and watch the sugaring process in action. There will also be nature-themed events like hiking and tree identification. Attendees can learn about climate change in relation to native trees or see a live sawmill presentation.
Guests can also head over to the establishment’s Farm Barn Cafe to enjoy some maple-inspired treats. The cafe offers a variety of sandwiches and salads too.
Duke Farms is an estate with a wide expanse of natural space. Along with the maple celebration, the establishment also hosts gardening workshops at which attendees can learn more about topics such as taking care of plants, organic gardening methods, and creating a deer resistant garden. In addition, there are special programs for kids, such as the junior ornithologists series.
To promote the wide variety of programs and attractions at the farm, it is likely the event organizers used a poster printing service to create Signs to display around the region.
