Local artists invited to exhibit their works in Somerville

A special exhibit of seven local artists, called ‘7 Voices – An Invitational Exhibition’, is now open at the Gallery on Division in Somerville presented by Arts on Division.

Colleen Tyler, Leokadia Stanik, Liz Mitchell, Maria Mineo, Lisa Madson, Judith A. Lieberman, and Greta Anderson are the artists whose work is on display. Visitors can see their work during gallery hours which are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons through Sunday, June 10.

The Gallery Shop will also be opened with items for sale made by local artists.

Arts on Division is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to build community in the Borough of Somerville and the region through arts education. It believes it can contribute to improved quality of life for those in the area by supporting, developing, and advancing the literary, physical, musical, and visual arts.

There will also be a series of artist talks to accompany the exhibit during sessions where people have the opportunity to meet the artists. Colleen Tyler will be speaking this evening at 7:00 pm, Liz Mitchell tomorrow at 7:30 pm, and Leokadia Stanik on Saturday, May 26 at 7:30 pm.
