The space once occupied by Lloyd’s Furniture Store for nearly 70 years in Somerville is now the home to an L. & J.G. Stickley retail showroom. The Stickley brothers founded the company in the early 20th century, with the introduction of their Mission Oak designs.
The location is 13,000 square feet in size and is the third such showroom in New Jersey, with other stores in East Hanover and Paramus. The Somerville location is the 17th overall for the company.
Chairman and CEO of Stickley, Aminy Audi, commented that Somerville is a very active market, given its location in the metropolitan area of New York City. Clients will be better served by this store in Somerville along with the other stores in Paramus, Manhattan, and White Plains.
The store has 5,000 square feet dedicated to Stickley case goods and upholstery items with products from Stickley in other areas of the store. There are also products from other manufacturers as well as bedding, hand-knotted oriental rugs, and a new Stickley Sleep Studio. Customers can have design staff visit their homes for professional interior design services.
The store opened on August 7 with a special ribbon-cutting celebration. Brochure printing companies can be used by such stores to create Brochures with more information about their brands, other brands that are sold in the store, and any special services that are offered.
