The Lizard of Oz is being presented by Kidstock Theatre and offers interactive performances in which children get into the act, as adults create new scenes from stories with which they will be familiar.
This program is filled with imaginative stories and will likely provide people with an entertaining and enlightening afternoon filled with fun. Poster printing, brochure printing, and flyer printing might have been the method chosen to promote this exciting afternoon to people in this community.
The performance, like many of the programs at the theater, is funded through Friends of the Library. In it, the big, green Lizard of Oz is lost in time until Dorothy, in her bright red shoes, lands magically on the lizard’s volcano. After that, the fun begins with surprising events occurring throughout the performance.
On the stage will be students of all ages who have created this unique show under the tutelage of professional artists, educators, and theater professionals. The children who participate in Kidstock Theatre receive experience in art, drama, music, and dance through a series of individual workshops. Kidstock has been a prominent leader in student theater since 1992.
Admission to this performance is free to everyone. The Lizard of Oz will be taking place on Wednesday, July 31 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the East Branch Library located at 115 Broadway Street in Somerville, New Jersey. To learn more about this production, please visit the Kidstock Theater or East Branch Library websites, or call the library during normal hours.
