The Somerset County Bar Foundation will hold its annual in-person race in May at Downtown Somerville.
The Annual Legal Runaround 5K is a race where people can support a local cause while enjoying a fun community activity. Participants can join the Live 5K Run or the 3K Poker Walk. The 5K Run is held on a course that goes through the streets of Somerville, while the 3K Poker Walk takes place on the sidewalks. Those who register for either activity will receive a souvenir tech tee and entries to random prize giveaways.
The organization benefiting from this year’s race is Steps Together, which is a group that helps families in Somerset County pay for medical expenses during times of crisis. Companies can help support this cause and promote themselves at the race by sponsoring the event. Businesses may pay between $250 and $5,000 to sponsor the charity race in exchange for perks such as being featured in press releases and logo representation on the event tees.
The Legal Runaround 5K will be held on Thursday, May 23rd from 5:30 pm to 7:45 pm. The cost to register for the run starts at $25, and the price of the Poker Walk is $20. The registration cost will increase as the event approaches. Kids may participate in a dash for $6. Organizations in charge of charity runs like this may utilize banner printing to design outdoor ads for their competitive runs.
