Darron “Hollywood" Glenn will be re-opening his business, Hollywood Fit, this month after being approved by the North Carolina Department of Revenue as an essential business.
Glenn expressed his happiness in being able to do so as now his wife and son who is 23 years old will be able to return to working at the gym. Such businesses can turn to poster printing to inform the community of their re-opening efforts.
Glenn, a graduate of Ashbrook High School, started his small business in November 2015. It has grown since then to serving 150 to 200 members at a time as more than a gym but as a wellness center. Glenn is a certified sports nutritionist who writes meal plans for several of his clients. He also has a partnership with Long Life Nutrition and sells their prepared meals, which have also helped some of his clients who struggle with high blood pressure and diabetes and have special nutritional needs.
About half of his clients receive one-on-one personal training sessions. He has seven trainers who each train between 8 to 10 clients a day while Glenn trains about 17 people a day.
His plan to re-open will limit occupancy to 15 to 20 people at a time and to follow the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the corona virus.
