The Alliance for Community Enrichment Program will be implemented by the city of Gastonia, according to a December announcement.
The program aims to promote engagement in the community and enable a higher quality of life for its residents through collaboration and partnerships between the city and the residents. More information about such programs can often be provided with various kinds of printing services.
Recognized Community groups will be established in the city, with specific geographic boundaries recognized by Gastonia City Council. A staff person from the city will be assigned to each group and will work with the group as a community liaison.
The goal will be to create a relationship that is more inclusive, using feedback from the residents to help the city address concerns in the community and develop plans that will enhance neighborhoods. The groups will then help the city by providing information, identifying solutions to issues in the community, participating in programs sponsored by the city, and sharing feedback.
Mayor Walker Reid, III, said that as a native of the city, he is proud that this program will be undertaken. He added that this is another opportunity for the government to meet its residents and to partner with them to make the city one that people can both work and live in, and enjoy.
Further info is available on the program’s website.
