Food manufacturer to build plant in Gastonia

Hans Kissle Company, a manufacturer of fresh foods, will be building a food manufacturing facility in Gastonia in the Apple Creek Corporate Center. The company will be investing $42m and 219 jobs will be created from the construction of this facility.

Local Print shops can be hired by such companies when time approaches for hiring by creating Flyers and other materials announcing such job postings.

The company began in 1984 as an in-house commissary for a grocery chain in Massachusetts, and now offers over 700 items, including salads, side dishes, fresh ready-to-eat foods, and entrees. This expansion of the company in the South Eastern United States will add close to 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and increase its production and capacity for distribution of its food items.

CEO of Hans Kissle, Scott Moffit, expressed his excitement about being able to expand its production to meet the growing demand for its products in the South East, both among retailers and consumers. He added that Gastonia offers a talented workforce and the company is proud to make the city the home of its new plant.

A Job Development Investment Grant from the state will help fund the project. The grant can potentially reimburse the company over a 12-year period in the amount of up to just over $2m as it is expected that the plant will grow the economy in the state by $599m.
