When people think of pasta, spaghetti noodles are often the first shapes that spring to mind. However, a cooking class being planned for Durham will demonstrate that there are many other styles, and the students will have a chance to prepare some and then try them for themselves.
The workshop, which has space for 12 learners, will offer a chance to learn what goes into the different types of pasta. The attendees will be invited to try their hand at making their own batch, and once it’s ready, they will be able to use an assortment of authentic traditional tools from Italy to cut into a variety of shapes.
Once the noodles have been prepared, the class will be invited to do some taste testing of their creations. While the class is open to anyone age nine and over, parents are asked to ensure that their child is accompanied by themselves or another adult.
To help encourage them to continue their exploration of pasta making, each of the people who registers will be going home with a copy of Melina’s Fresh Pasta Recipe Book. Items like these can be produced by an area printing services provider, which can offer an assortment of binding and cover options.
Melina’s Fresh Pasta Shop will be welcoming the public for this tasty class on January 28th. It is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.
