St. Louis makes a run in July
A 5k run is to be held in St. Louis this July.
The event is the 5th Annual Heroes for Autism 5K and Mile. It aims to bring awareness to and encourage widespread acceptance of autism.
The event will provide all necessary amenities, including children’s entertainment, drinks, food, and more. There will also be local businesses present to facilitate questions and purchases from attendees. These vendors offer a wide range of products and services related to autism and similar neurodevelopmental disorders. Institutions that will be onsite include Best Buddies International and Behaviour Frontiers.
There are varying events available to suit the needs of the entire family. There will be a 5K and a mile run, each having a virtual component for those who are unable to attend in person. There will also be a children’s fun run, which will be free for children ages 10 and under.
The cost for registration for the in-person 5K will be $45, while the mile will be $35. For the virtual events, the prices are $25 and $20 respectively. The event is geared towards families living within the St. Louis area, included neighbouring areas such as Olivette.
Banner printing can be a helpful way to encourage participants during events such as this one.
This event will take place on Saturday, July 15 at Queeny Park at 550 Weidman Road, St. Louis. It begins at 8:00 am and ends at 11:00 am.
