Olivette in Bloom helps to keep the community green, and locals and visitors alike may enjoy a chance to be inspired by the work of its volunteers.
The organization's Garden Tours schedule has been set, and it will kick off August with this activity. There will be several locations on the route, and advance registration has been requested for this free event.
While participants visit the venues, they can meet volunteers and learn more about the native plants they tend. They can find out why these species are so important, and also why choosing plants with a local provenance makes a lot of sense. Everyone can find out how to incorporate them into their existing plantings or start a whole new garden, and those interested can choose to visit all four venues or as many as they wish.
Open house activities may garner a lot of public attention, and they provide a behind-the-scenes look that is not usually available. Printed maps, signage, handouts, and other items can all be crafted by a brochure printing company, and may be paired with promotional pens to distribute to the registrants before they begin their tour
Saturday, August 2 will see Olivette offer a tip of the hat to its hardworking volunteers while inspiring the public to get growing in their own home garden. It will begin at 9:00 am.
