A piece of custom designed holiday decor can be the final added touch for the season, and Olivette residents are invited to take advantage of a workshop on offer in mid-November.
The Holiday Porch Pots class will run for two hours at Five Oaks on Warson, and it will utilize an assortment of natural materials collected by the Olivette’s Horticulturalist. Tickets are $20 each.
Each attendee in the session can choose from either a holiday-themed pot or swag, and it will be a hands-on activity. It will be the third year it has been offered.
Participants will be working with branches, berries, evergreen twigs, and other natural materials. Everyone can bring their own lights, ribbons, or dried flowers to add a personal touch, and they are reminded to bring clippers or sturdy scissors, as well as a bowl, pot, or other vessel.
A crafting class teaches new techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment, and a flyer printing company will be happy to prepare materials that help spread the word to the local area, which may include mailers, door hangers, and other items.
The registration system for the Holiday Porch Pots session closes on November 8, with the event taking place on November 13. Spots are expected to fill up quickly, and anyone interested may want to sign up as soon as they can.
