Spring Art Fair coming to Olivette area

Olivette residents who enjoy art of all kinds have a treat in store.

Queeny Park in Ballwin, about 13 miles from Olivette, will be the site of the 2015 Art Fair, hosted by the Greater St. Louis Art Association (GSLAA).

The fair will be held indoors, at the Greensfelder Recreation Center, which is climate controlled. This is the 37th Spring Fair, and the event is perfect for those looking for gifts, or for items to spruce up the home for spring.

The show is juried and 130 artists will be present. They will be showing original works in such media as ceramics, jewelry, and printmaking. Fair goers will have the opportunity to chat with the artists about their works, and learn about the creative process. Handcrafts and fine art objects will be available in a wide range of prices.

The fair is slated for April 10 through April 12, Friday through Sunday. Hours are from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday, and 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday. Admission is $5 all three days, with visitors 18 and under free. People who buy admission on the website receive $1 off, and parking is free.

Event organizers could work with a banner printing company to create a welcome banner for the fair.
