Kendrick Smith, a saxophonist, will be performing holiday favorites in a local city this season.
As a key figure in St. Louis music, Smith looks to preserve jazz for the upcoming generation. He and his band have performed at various St. Louis jazz venues such as the Blue Strawberry.
Smith hails from East St. Louis, delving into music during grade school, showcasing skills rarely seen at his age. His high school years shaped his talents, studying with baritone saxophonist Hamiet Bluiett. He later refined his abilities during his university years, alongside Reggie Thomas, a pianist.
The cost to attend the event will be between $20 and $23. Prices vary based on seating areas. Tickets can be purchased through the venue’s listing.
