Ragtime takes St. Louis stage

The Touhill Performing Arts Center will be hosting a ballet called "Ragtime: An American Experience” this May.

This performance is being managed by Robert Poe, who is an artistic director from Ballet 314.

This event will bring to life the novel ‘Ragtime’ by E.L Doctorow in a high-energy and easy-to-understand way. The show will dramatize how three groups of individuals from varied backgrounds navigate in an era of change within the state of New York. The act will also show different challenges faced by these groups as they attempt to fulfill their dreams, with law enforcement brutality and racial prejudice among the barriers.

General tickets to the event will cost $40. However, student tickets will cost $25. Students interested in attending should call (314) 516-4949 in order to receive their discount. Individuals from nearby Olivette may also be attending his event. At the completion of each act, ticketholders will get a chance to have some question-and-answer time with the directors and cast of the Ragtime performance.

Promotional pens can be a great way for directors to provide the audience with keepsakes or mementos at events such as this one.

The performance will be taking place on Sunday, May 14. It will begin at 2:00 pm and end at 4:00 pm at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at 1 University Boulevard, St. Louis.
