What's Happening in Olivette, MO…

An annual event is coming up in Olivette, but in a new format.

The Olivette Turkey Trot 2020 is the seventh year for the race, but this time, the fun is going virtual. Organizers understand that everyone would rather get together for the run/walk in person, but they have made the decision to put health and safety first, and hold the event remotely.

The family-friendly event now has some new wrinkles. Participants will be able to bike, walk, run, or even use a treadmill to chalk up the miles, undertaking their own private race. The person running the race can use one of the courses the organizers will provide, or design one of their own. Once participants have registered, they will be eligible to receive swag from the organizers, including t-shirts, beanies, and caps.

There are four different races to choose from: the children's “Pie a la Mode”; a “Single Slice,” which is one event; a “Double Slice,” which is two events; or “The Whole Pie,” which is all four races. The swag distributed will depend upon the race chosen.

The virtual race must be completed between November 1 and November 29, but registration is open now. All money raised goes to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, which serves over 6,000 people monthly. Brochure printing can be used to provide pamphlets that describe events like this for participants.
