Olivette area puts on cycling fundraiser

Pedal the Cause presents a Kids’ Challenge next month as it looks to raise funds to find a cure for cancer.

The non-profit organization started in 2009 to provide funding for cancer research at Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Siteman Cancer Center. It has raised over $36m and funded 194 cancer research projects.

The Pedal the Cause Kids Challenge is sponsored by PGIM Investments and Ameren, and is open to children from 3 to 13 years old. After registering for the event, kids will be given a pledge form. Family members, friends, or neighbors can pledge an amount for each lap they ride. Participants can receive incentives for each milestone they reach. The top three fundraisers will receive free registration to the 2023 Pedal the Cause Kids Challenge, and a Fitz’s Root beer Float party for five. The top fundraiser will receive a free moonwalk from Fun Services Midwest, plus other prizes.

Registration costs $50 and includes access to all event amenities, a Kids Challenge T-shirt, and Pedal the Cause gear. Those living in cities in St. Louis County, such as Florissant, Creve Coeur, and Olivette, may want to attend this nearby event.

Flyer printing is an essential tool for organizers to provide information about fundraising events such as this.

The event will be on Saturday, September 17 at 8:00 am. It will be at 291 Chesterfield Mall in Chesterfield. The Pedal the Cause website has more information on other fundraising events, and details on how to register.
