Musical to be held in Olivette area

The Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri will host a staging of the popular musical Les Misérables this January.

The plot of the play tells the story of a group of individuals living in France during the height of the war. It follows the challenges they must overcome to survive.

The musical has received worldwide praise and recognition for the enthralling stories that it tells. It was originally written and performed in 1980 in Paris, with an English version created in 1986.

This production comes courtesy of Sir Cameron Mackintosh. A British theater owner and theatrical producer, Sir Mackintosh was the first to feature Les Misérables on the English stage. With this event, he brings back the story to audiences throughout the state. People from nearby areas such as Olivette are welcome to attend.

The event will have multiple performance days for patrons to choose from, and varying timeslots each day as well. Each show lasts for just under three hours.
