A Mardi Gras party is planned for the Soulard area of St. Louis, and everyone is invited.
The Monster Tent event will be hosted by DJ Patrico, who is from radio station 105.7's The Point's Rizzuto Show. The tent will be home to a variety of beers and whiskeys, as well as energy drinks, all to celebrate Mardi Gras.
Among the libations on the menu are the traditional New Orleans drink, the Hurricane, as well as Jameson Irish Whiskey, along with various flavors of Absolut Vodka. Favorite beers to be served include Budweiser, Michelob Ultra, and Bud Light.
Bands on the schedule include Moon and The Teenage Dirtbags, and Platinum Rock Legends. Moon is one of the hosts of 105.7, and The Teenage Dirtbags play alternative music from the 1990s. Platinum Rock Legends is a tribute band that plays the hits of some of the biggest bands ever, recreating not only the tunes, but also the appearance of such artists as Queen and Van Halen. Reviews of their performances say they “never disappoint” and are “one of the best.”
The hearty party is set for February 22, from 10:30 am until 5:00 pm, at the parking lot of DB's Sports Bar on South Broadway, not far from Olivette. The event coincides with a major Mardi Gras parade, which starts at 11.00 am. The tent is on the parade route. Banner printing can provide colorful decorations for venues like this.
