Grammy-winning artist visiting Olivette area on book tour

A famed lead vocalist is visiting the Olivette area next month on the next leg of his book tour, and area residents are invited to attend.

Darius Rucker, an award-winning musician and member of the band Hootie and the Blowfish, will stop in the Olivette area in a few weeks to discuss his new book, Life’s Too Short. After selling 25 million albums globally, Rucker has written a book about his multi-decade music career and life experiences. The artist will talk about the music that helped him become who he is today and how it relates to his new book.

Guests can learn about the challenges and travels Rucker overcame to become the leading figure in a world-famous band. The book is a classic book about a man and his music. Poster printing is an excellent way to raise awareness of community events and provide souvenirs for fans.

The event will also feature an interview and discussion with renowned local news anchor Rene Knott. The St. Louis County Library Foundation is planning the event, and seating will be first come, first served.

The Clark Family Branch of the St. Louis County Library will host the event on Saturday, June 1st, beginning at 2:00pm and ending at 3:30pm. Tickets include a signed copy of Life’s Too Short, and prices start at $45.
