St. Louis HELP, a non-profit organization that loans home medical equipment to anyone for free, is hosting a fund raiser soon. “Wine at the Warehouse” will be held at the St. Louis HELP warehouse, on Dielman Rock Island Drive in Olivette. The evening will feature raffles, fun, savory food, music, and—of course—great wine. Laura Cannon-Singer, who is the founder and executive director of St. Louis HELP, says she and others in the organization are ready to have fun and make new friends.
Also on the agenda is a wine pull called “Corks for a Cause,” as well as a surprise menu that promises a delicious dinner, and a number of prizes.
Since 2008 when Cannon-Singer founded it, St. Louis HELP has loaned thousands of pieces of home health equipment to patients at no charge. Cannon-Singer notes it was her intention to help people who need medical equipment but can't afford it, often because insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, doesn't cover its cost. Providing the equipment at no charge can make a real difference, allowing someone to continue living independently, instead of needing assistance.
“Wine at the Warehouse” is set for September 14, 2017, a Thursday, at the St. Louis HELP warehouse, from 6 pm until 9 pm.
