The Pat Strawhun Memorial Winter Bluegrass Festival will return to Missouri this January, with a line-up of award-winning musical talent.
The two-day festival will kick off with a Friday show headlined by husband-and-wife duo Kenny and Amanda Smith. Kenny, a multiple-time IBMA winner, will also be leading a guitar workshop on Saturday morning that is included with the price of admittance. Saturday will include both an afternoon and evening show, headlined by The Caleb Daugherty Band, a five-piece group inspired by bluegrass classics, and also featuring Riverbend and American Bluegrass Drives. Performing on both days will be As The Crowe Flies and Casey & The Atta Boys.
The Pat Strawhun Memorial Festival is currently in its 39th edition and is put together by the Missouri Area Blue Grass Committee. Due to festival dates changing, there will have been almost two full years since the 38th festival, which also celebrated the Committee's 50th anniversary. Hosted in Eureka, the festival aims to bring in bluegrass fans from nearby areas like St. Louis and Olivette. Music festivals like this often use methods such as local radio and banner printing to draw attention.
The 2022 edition of the Pat Strawhun Memorial Winter Bluegrass Festival is set to take place on January 7 and 8 at the Holiday Inn Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri.
