Artist showcase and market provides holiday shopping in Olivette

A holiday market for local artists is being planned for the Olivette area, and collectors and local enthusiasts are invited to attend and shop for gifts.

The 17th Annual Print Bazaar on Cherokee will begin in a few weeks, offering a forum for local artists to display their work and sell their wares to interested customers. The gathering, which aims to bring together over 150 local and regional artists, will provide access to several forms of art.

The finished works will include etching, letterpress, screen printing, printed fabrics, and woodcuts. In addition to the bazaar, attendees will have an opportunity to indulge in Cherokee Street's aura and energy while enjoying the local shops, restaurants, and cafes. Poster printing is a classic way to promote such markets while offering souvenirs for collectors and attendees to take home and put on their walls.

Food trucks and beverage vendors will attend the bazaar to ensure all guests are comfortable and hydrated. Food options include tacos and themed snacks, while coffee will also be available for shoppers. The event aims to be the largest holiday market in the Midwest.

The bazaar will be held on Cherokee Street starting on Saturday, December 7. Shoppers are welcome to arrive at 11:00 AM, and the market will close at 6:00 PM. General admission is free for interested parties.
