St. Paul to mark calendars for annual state fair

The Minnesota State Fair, situated between St. Paul and Minneapolis, is making its annual grand 12-day run this August.

The state fair began in 1854 as a territorial fair focusing on agriculture and farming in the region. It formally became the Minnesota State Fair in 1859, bringing with it the nickname of the “Great Minnesota Get-Together.” Today, it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the state and the Upper Midwest region.

Considered an end-of-the-summer tradition, the fair strives to educate attendees about Minnesota’s industry, agriculture, and art. Through the 12 days of the fair, attendees will be treated to energic live shows and musical performances from artists such as The Black Keys, The Chicks, Keith Urban, and Boyz II Men. Other entertainment includes a butterfly house, a haunted house, and a skyride.

Fair organizers have compiled all activities and entertainment in informative Brochures either in digital form on the fair’s website or in printed versions, which can be found at the information booth on the fairgrounds. Event organizers that utilize brochures, such as in this case, often find their local Print shops helpful in providing brochure printing services.

The Minnesota State Fair will be held from August 24 through September 4. It will take place at 1265 Snelling Avenue, St. Paul. Pre-fair admission tickets are $15.
