Dog show returns to St. Paul

The Land of Lakes Dog Show will be back in St. Paul this January, aiming to present the biggest celebration of canine friends in the Twin Cities yet.

The show will feature more than 1200 dogs from 197 breeds competing for awards and plaudits. Dogs and their owners will be awarded for agility, trained skills, and grooming sponsored by the American Kennel Club.

Local owners can also take part in an AKC-sponsored “Puppy Party”, where dogs aged 4 to 6 months can participate in a mock dog show. Dog owners can also meet with experts on a variety of dog breeds and see canines of every type, size and shape, or get training tips in a handling clinic. Young trainers from the surrounding area can take part in the Midwest Top Junior Handler Competition.

The Dog Show will also feature a vendor’s market full of local exhibitors and community organizations focused on dog owners and services. These will include organizations promoting adoption and therapy animals, such as the Read to a Breed program by the Northstar Therapy Animals. Exhibitors at events like this often use methods like brochure printing and Signs to help explain what they have to offer.

The 2026 Land O’Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show will take place from January 2 to 4 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
