St. Paul celebrates 50 years of school-based healthcare

The Minnesota School-Based Health Alliance will present an event called Celebrating 50 Years of Minnesota School-Based Health Centers in St. Paul this November.

The Minnesota School-Based Health Alliance supports children and adolescent healthcare initiatives, especially for those children who do not have equal access to healthcare due to income level, location, or other factors. The alliance supports school-based health centers and ensures that best practices in school-based care are being applied.

Celebrating this milestone year, the event will bring field professionals together in fellowship to catch up with old peers and forge new connections. The celebration will both reflect upon past years and look towards the future in terms of how to make school-based healthcare consistently better for the children and teens being served. It will also serve as a fundraiser for local school-based health centers. There will be beverages and bites, a welcoming program, an awards ceremony, and a networking session. Events involving networking activities will often provide attendees with a chance to hand out their Business Cards to any potential connections they wish to make.

The celebration is scheduled for Thursday, November 9 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. It will be held at the Minnesota Humanities Center, which is located at 987 Ivy Avenue East Saint Paul. Admission is free, but the fee to reserve a table will be $150.
