The event will feature live performances including musical artists and bands as well as dance troupes, reflecting the area’s diversity. The Block Party is also designed to provide education on the neighborhood and its status as a historic home of St. Paul’s African American community. In past years this has included panels and pop-up art providing information on the area’s heritage.
The festival grounds will also feature a vendor area with local artisans, small businesses, food trucks, and non-profit organizations. Last year’s event attracted over 65 vendors. Confirmed vendors include A Touch of Memphis, Global Business, and the St. Paul Public Library. Exhibitors at festivals like this often offer special Promotional Products and deals to help make connections with new customers.
The Block Party will also feature a Kids Area with family-friendly activities and educational play. The event is expected to draw thousands from throughout the Twin Cities area. Organizers have expressed an emphasis on community engagement, partnering with the Rondo Center of Diverse Expression and ReConnect Rondo, explaining that:
“The Block Party is also designed to provide education on the neighborhood and its history as a historic home of St. Paul’s African-American community.”
The 2025 Rondo Block Party will take place on Saturday, August 2 at Rondo Commemorative Plaza in St. Paul.
