Rochester venue to host performance from talented star

A celebrity with an impressive resumé in two fields is bringing her live show to Rochester in late May.

Maria Bramford is a comedian and actress. She earned the honor of being the first female comedian to have two 30-minute specials on the TV network Comedy Central. In addition, she has both a scripted show and three comedy specials on Netflix. Her comedy often explores deeply personal topics, including mental health. Her Netflix show “Lady Dynamite” also drew inspiration from her real life experiences.

As an actress, Bramford has lent her voice to shows and movies like “BoJack Horseman,” “Puss In Boots,” “Adventure Time,” “Big Mouth,” “CatDog,” and “Bob’s Burgers.” She has also appeared in live action projects like “Fresh off the Boat,” “The Comedians of Comedy,” and “Arrested Development.”

Tickets are sold through both Ticketmaster and the box office of the Mayo Civic Center, which is the event’s venue. Via Ticketmaster, the prices range between $33.30 and $66 including fees. The Rochester show will be held in the Mayo Civic Center’s CH Mayo Presentation Hall. Many traveling performers hire printing services when making their merchandise prior to a tour, in order to have their logo added to a selection of items to be sold at each venue.

The show will be taking place on Friday, May 30, starting at 7:30 pm.
