Rochester’s Mayo Civic Center is hosting the stand-up comedy showcase Killers of Kill Tony this August.
The lineup of comedians are all people who have been featured in the live podcast Kill Tony.
In these longer series of sets, comedians Hans Kim, Martin Phillips, David Lucas and Ahren Belisle will unleash their diverse styles and viewpoints.
The show in Rochester is but one stop on the Killers of Kill Tony’s international tour throughout the rest of this year, including appearances in Indiana, Alabama, Pennsylvania, New York, California and various cities in Canada later this fall.
Kill Tony is currently one of the most popular podcasts available on streaming, as it ranks in the top 50 on Spotify’s Podcast Charts.
Somewhat resembling a gameshow, Kill Tony features an old-school broadcast structure, such as an introduction by a live band and a live studio audience.
The podcast regularly features up-and-coming, as well as more established comedians, in addition to celebrity guests. The newcomers try their comedy sets out in front of the podcast’s hosts and a celebrity panel of judges that changes each week.
Comedy shows like this may choose to use banner printing to create marquees for venues.
Killers of Kill Tony is happening on August 1 at 7 pm, with doors open at 6 pm, at the Mayo Civic Center at 30 Civic Center Dr SE in Rochester.
