Rochester’s Mayo Civic Center is set to host a concert with Three Dog Night, featuring Ambrosia with John Ford Coley, this May.
Boasting three No. 1 Billboard singles, along with 21 songs in a row making the Top 40, Three Dog Night is not stopping anytime soon. With a career spanning more than half a century, Three Dog Night has 12 Gold albums, having sold over 50 million records in total.
On the eve of releasing their first album in several decades, Enter, Three Dog Night is seeking to continue its legacy after the band was first formed in 1968 by Danny Hutton. With its signature three-part harmony, the band is known for hits such as “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” “One,” “Joy to the World,” and “Shambala,” among others.
Ambrosia similarly had its heyday in the 1970s and 80s with several Top 40 hits, with “Biggest Part of Me,” “Holdin’ On to Yesterday,” and “How Much I Feel” to name just a few. Meanwhile, John Ford Coley is known for his tracks “Gone Too Far” and “Love is The Answer.”
