Jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts who enjoy sampling beers will get to experience the best of both worlds next month, as a contest is set to begin in Rochester.
The Pairs and Team Jigsaw Puzzle Contests, which are being hosted by Thesis Beer Project, have opened registration to Rochester residents who want to put their skills and minds to the test while supporting a local venue. The basis of the competition is determining how quickly teams can complete a jigsaw puzzle. As the name suggests, interested parties can compete in pairs or as part of a team.
The pairs puzzle will be 300 pieces, while the team competition will use a 500-piece puzzle. Prizes will be given out to the top finishers in each category, and door prizes will also be awarded. Organizers can rely on flyer printing to generate the grassroots marketing tools necessary to promote such events around the community.
Competitors are welcome to sign up for both contests, with two separate tickets necessary for those who want to do this. Competitors may eat and drink while completing their puzzles. Box-top trays and organizers are also allowed under the rules.
The jigsaw puzzle competition will be held at Thesis Beer Project in Rochester on Sunday, February 15 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Tickets are $48.14 for both the pairs and team competitions online.
