Fortune Feimster, a stand-up star and comedic actress, is coming to the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester this June.
Her current comedy tour, called Takin’ Care of Biscuits, includes stops in not only the United States, but also Canada, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and England.
Having grown up in the 1980s in North Carolina, Feimster uses a confessional comedy style, utilizing both observational humor and personal memoir. She touches on topics that include disrupting societal norms, love, facing insecurities, and seizing upon life’s opportunities.
Known for her Netflix comedy specials that include Sweet & Salty and Good Fortune, which were both nominated for Critics Choice Awards, Feimster has only become further ingrained in pop culture with roles such as voicing Nibbles in Disney’s Zootopia 2 and playing a supporting character in Will Ferrell’s upcoming golf comedy, The Hawk. She has also appeared in The Office Christmas Party, Barb and Star Go to Visit Del Mar, Chelsea Lately, The Mindy Project, and Kenan.
Feimster is a seasoned podcaster too, hosting the shows Handsome and What A Joke with Papa and Fortune.
