A famous mansion in Rochester has announced that it will open its doors next month for a tour, allowing interested parties to learn more about its history.
The Historic Mayowood Tour is coming up soon in Rochester, allowing area residents and other interested parties to learn more about the history of the town and home. The home and its grounds are among the most popular tourist destinations in the area. The 38-room house was built in 1910 by Doctor Charles H. Mayo and Edith, his wife.
The tour will be led by a knowledgeable guide who will provide knowledge and insights into the lives of Dr. Mayo and his wife while exploring the family’s legacy. The tours will take visitors past original artifacts and share family anecdotes that add a layer of emotional connection. Brochure printing can promote tours like this when placed in visitor’s centers and other areas with high volumes of traffic.
The home and its grounds are closed to the public on non-tour days. Tour days are Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. Tour tickets are required to explore the grounds on days when they are open.
The home is located at 3720 Mayowood Road SW in Rochester. Opening day for the tours is Wednesday, April 1st, at 10:00 AM. Tours will run at the top of each hour. Tickets are available online for $20 per adult and $10 per child.
