The Riverside Music Series is bringing a variety of bands to Rochester’s Mayo Park this summer.
Each of the free events, held on Sundays from beginning in July, features food trucks and recreation on the lawn when doors open at 6:00 pm, with showtime at 7:00 pm. People are encouraged to claim spots early, order food, and set up any coolers, lawn chairs, or blankets they would like to bring before the show begins at 30 Civic Center Drive SE.
On July 12, Vertical Horizon will bring their alternative rock tunes, including the late ‘90s hit song “Everything You Want,” with an opening performance by Hair of the Dog.
Then, on July 19, the Grammy-winning Tank and The Bangas will bring their New Orleans sound to the stage, with funk and soul influences, with Danger Club opening.
Singer-songwriter Kevin Daniel opens for MacKenzie Carpenter on July 26, bringing her narrative-infused country tunes to the stage. Hitmakers Sister Sledge will rock the stage on August 2, with an opening act by Adam David Bohanan.
Finally, alternative rockers Better Than Ezra close out the series on August 9 with electric guitar riffs and contemplative lyrics, with Marina City providing the opening performance.
The summer concert series is made possible through sponsorships by various radio stations, including 106.9 KROC FM, Minnesota 97.5, Y-105FM, and Quick Country 96.5, as well as Think Mutual Bank.
