A Rochester venue will be the location of an activity honoring a group and recognizing an important cause in mid-August.
Join The Journey is the organizer behind the event, which is an awareness walk for breast cancer. The walk takes place annually, bringing warning Signs and risk factors to light, while also giving people a safe environment to discuss their own experiences with others who can relate to what they have been through. Survivors, caregivers, fighters, and families are all celebrated during the walk.
In addition to the trek, attendees will have the ability to participate in raffles for some merch, peruse a market circle featuring local vendors, and take a dragon boat ride through Cascade Lake. Guests are encouraged to socialize with each other, share stories, and enjoy the fun of a gathering that highlights a serious cause.
Entry to the walk and other activities comes at the price of $35. Registration can be completed via Race Roster’s website. Also given to those who register is a shirt featuring a themed image and the walk’s Logo Design. The celebration will be located in Cascade Lake Park. Participants can expect the event to get started at 8:00 am on Saturday, August 12.
