Rochester to pick up Styx

A group that has been around since 1972 will be taking the stage in Rochester in early May.

Styx is composed of Chuck Panozzo, James Young, Tommy Shaw, Todd Sucherman, Lawrence Gowan, and Ricky Phillips. With hits like “Come Sail Away,” “Miss America,” “Blue Collar Man,” “Renegade,” “The Grand Illusion,” and “Crystal Ball” in their repertoire, the band has continually entertained crowds for decades. While a few members have changed over the years, the group has worked hard to keep their magic alive. Their 17th album was released in June of last year.

For their 50th anniversary, Styx is offering a special VIP bundle. This will cost buyers $322. In the package is a reserved seat, a raglan shirt, a poster that is autographed, a coin, a cooler bag, a pin set, a limited exclusive item, a commemorative ticket, a lighter, and a laminate. Each item will have the Styx Logo Design, as well as a graphic design element related to the band. Other merchandise will also be available for purchase at the event.

General admission tickets go for between $45 and $196. The venue for this concert is Mayo Park At Mayo Civic Center. This venue does not have chairs, except for those who pay $196. That price covers seating for attendees, while others will have to bring their own with them. The show will kick off at 7:00 pm on May 6.
